To remove odor:

• The first time using Smelly Washer use with no laundry and no detergent.
• For best results use a hot "whites", or a cleaning cycle and complete a wash cycle.
• More extreme cases may need repeated applications and/or long soaks (even overnight).  Push "pause" if no soak is available.

For persistent or returning odor:

• Add a cap to a full load of white towels.  The added bulk of the laundry will raise the water level to include the "splash area" just above the normal waterline where suds and soiled water splash up and don't get rinsed out.  The splash area is almost invariably the area of worst buildup.  More tips to prevent odor.

What is the difference between Smelly Washer and Smelly Towel?

The active ingredient is the same, but Smelly Towel Cleaner has a pleasant garden fragrance, boosters to brighten colors, making your towels and laundry cleaner, and fluffier! Customers love it! Smelly Towel Cleaner is excellent preventive maintenance for your washer and will prevent odor from returning. However, don't use the towel cleaner in a plastic tub dishwasher as slight discoloration may occur.

Should I use this with liquid detergent?

To initially remove odor the first time use without detergent. After the odor is removed from the washer and laundry use just a half teaspoon with your regular detergent to keep your washer and laundry fresh. You are able to even through a liquid dispenser or even directly in the tub if it's safe to do so.

Why should I use your dishwasher cleaner when Smelly Washer cleans dishwashers?

How do I use it?

Split a level cap between the two detergent dispensers and the floor of the unit. Start a hot cycle in an empty dishwasher and allow to complete. Pause to soak for extreme cases. For door gasket areas you're able to mix a tbsp in a spray bottle, spray liberally and allow to soak.
