Why does my washer stink?
Mildew smell is caused by the buildup of detergent and softener residue on the inside of the plastic outer tub. Bacteria and mold spores are then transferred to towels and other laundry to make them smell like mold! The odor can get so bad it can even make your home stink! The heaviest buildup is almost invariably in the "splash area" just 3 to 5 inches above the normal waterline. Cleaning cycles in your washing machine do not reach the splash area.

How do I get rid of odor?
The answer is surprisingly simple - use a washing machine cleaner, such as Smelly Washer, that can be used with laundry! The clothing will raise the water level to clean suds residue from above the waterline. You don't need to call for repair or even use harsh chemicals to clean your washer or dishwasher! What better to use than an all natural product to get rid of that stinky residue and keep your washer fresh and smelling clean?
